Welcome to Mace Motel, at the heart of Arrowtown. We're a short stroll from a selection of licensed restaurants and bars, traditional shops and the beautiful Arrow river. And just 20 minutes away from Queenstown's vibrant night life, with the best ski fields and golf courses in the Southern hemisphere on our doorstep.
Our rooms are fully self contained, each with a full kitchen (stove, fridge, freezer), living room (TV, phone, radio) and two or three bedrooms. Continental breakfasts are also available.

Arrowtown is blessed to be a short drive from five of the world's best golf courses. The Arrowtown, Millbrook and the New Zealand Open Hills courses are just minutes away, and you can be teeing off at Queenstown or Jack's Point in well under an hour.
Mix your day if you like with skiing in the afternoon and in the morning try some jet boating, bungy jumping, scenic flights, 4WDriving, golfing, flyfishing etc. Scenic flights can be arranged to Milford Sound, Mount Aspiring, Mount Earnslaw, Mount Cook and the Franz Joseph and Fox glaciers.
Also available is guided fly fishing adventures, you can fish over rivers that have not be touched for days, or try trolling on any of the local lakes, fish guaranteed! Both Rainbow and Brown trout fly fishing are plentifully around the southern lakes.
Take a drive to Kingston and ride the steam train, 'the Kingston Flyer', or take a 4WD trip into the famous Skippers Canyon and Macetown via 30 river crossings, what about bungy Jumping, jet boating, horse trekking, wineries, restaurants, or even the Lake Wakatipu vintage steamship, the historical 'Earnslaw'.
Try gold panning on the Arrow River, this town was born of the gold fever era. Here in Arrowtown, you will also find a reconstructed gold mining settlement along the banks of the Arrow River. The dwellings consist of structures built onto rock walls, tin sheds, canvas covered frames and stone walled rooms. Arrowtown has an amazing museum, a must visit.
